Madewell: Jortcore

Senior Creative Producer

My Role: Senior Creative Producer

Project: We helped Madewell ride several cultural summer trends with the creation of their own trend: #JORTCORE. With the aim of engaging Gen Z and highlighting sustainability, we celebrated jean shorts (jorts) and self expression. We hired Brooklyn surf-punk girl band Nevva to write an original song. Influencers used the song on TikTok and IG to promote reusing old garments and even upcycling the scraps!

Result: Benchmark-breaking ad recall and upwards of 74M+ view rates.

Target Drop

My Role: Senior Creative Producer

Project: Target wanted to create a recurring content series to help amplify yearly tentpole moments, including: summer newness, back to school, holiday, etc. The goal of the series would be to show off their product priorities for each season.

Challenge: How could we engage both diehard Target fans and lesser engaged guests alike? And what kind of content mechanism could we employ that would be the year-round gift that keeps on giving?

Next Vacay

Editor, Animator, Motion Graphics

It’s always difficult to blend the right level of creative, strategy, and performance; but Chase really understood the messaging behind each project and was able to work his magic in creating ads that not only looked amazing, but performed in the client accounts.”

-Matthew Fischman, Creative Strategist, Common Thread Collective

My Role: Editor, Animator, Motion Graphics, Strategy Collaboration

Project: In collaboration with Common Thread Collective, affordable airfare company Next Vacay needed to create an asset toolbox of compelling video ads to run (and test) across Facebook.

Challenge: Using only green screen footage of the actress, we needed to turn out 16 unique video ads that were ‘thumb-stoppable’, and that could stand out in an already crowded airfare-booking brand space. It was important to the creative strategist and myself to deliver creative work that the client had not seen before.

Goal: 1) Thumb-stop is the name of the game. So, the ads were to be attention-grabbing while not being too alienating, immediately impressionable and capable of retaining viewer attention long enough to highlight the amazing deals offered by Next Vacay. 2) It was important to us to utilize the power of levity and humor to communicate the key brand messaging. And 3) we wanted to weave in the brand’s identity wherever possible by utilizing strong but simple graphics and color schemes.

Results: The client was immediately impressed with the deliverables and expressed an appreciation for the creative.

*Note: The video ad examples above represent only 4 of 16 total ads created and are shown here for the purposes of my portfolio. Once the ads have had enough time to test/run, I will update these results with relevant performance metrics.

NERD Skincare

Director, Line Producer, Shooter, Editor

My Role: Producer, Creative Director, Video Director, Camera Operator, Editor, Animator, Casting

Project: NERD Skincare approached me about creating hero assets - both photo and video - to enhance their digital presence.

Challenge: As a new startup, the client had limited resources and needed to hire one person who could wear many hats. I was allotted just enough budget to hire a photographer and a PA for the shoot, but needed to fully produce, cast, organize, creative direct, video direct, light, edit, and animate on my own.

Goal: To streamline the shoot day in a way that allowed for both video and photography to happen simultaneously, while still allowing myself enough oversight to ensure a quality, youthful, on-brand result.

Results: With thorough planning, scrappy talent contract negotiation, and a simplified backdrop concept, I was able to flex my production capabilities and deliver a set of strong visual assets for the client.
