My Story

Chase Dillon Profile and Quote.jpg

More than just a producer, director or editor, I’m a creative problem-solver. With over 10 years experience in New York working across live-TV, branded content, documentary, and editorial work, I’ve learned how to take on any of these roles and create a path for success for everyone involved. In my work and my relationships I prioritize authenticity, and constantly seek to be intentional in the decisions I make.

When working with brands, I value both heritage and disruptive innovation, believing that by utilizing both you can find the sweet spot. I find meaning in exploring the polar ends of what’s possible with the most talented people available, and using that survey of potential to uncover the best creative path forward.

In my own creative work, I strive to find the balance between raw beauty and dazzling spectacle. I have a knack for exposing underlying meaning, finding clarity amongst complexity, and for opening up an emotional connection between audience and subject. I try to tell stories in a way that accesses universal truths, and always with the subtext of someone who is deciphering what it means to be human.

Conceptually, I’m interested in the tension between chaos and control. Our social, cultural, political, and theoretical structures are often accepted as standard, permanent, or ethically neutral, when in reality they demonstrate the fragility of everything we hold dear.

And this is who I’ve always been.

At age nine, I was running through my suburban Texas neighborhood with a video camera stolen from my dad’s closet, capturing the world as I saw it then. At nineteen, I was producing and hosting a weekly radio show at my university, exploring everything from political philosophy to the latest in music. And now, whether working with a creative team, with a crew on set, or with editors and animators in post, you’ll find me connecting with people, hunting for the essence of a story or idea, and ultimately giving viewers and consumers the magic they deserve.

Chase Higgs-Collins is a senior-level creative producer, strategist, filmmaker, thinker, craftsman, and aspiring cowboy working between NYC, LA, Denver & Richmond.

“My connection to Chase dates back to 2009 when he was part of a 5 person team that launched the now successful late night talk show, Watch What Happens LIVE. During his many years here, Chase was an integral part of the team. He regularly pitched creative, and once ideas were approved, he then worked with show editors to create our signature packages. He always understood the voice of the show and never missed a deadline, which isn’t always easy on a live TV show.”
